Infinite Inspiration GBA Youth Art Exhibition ("Infinite") is a flagship cultural initiative organized by the Southern Headquarters of the China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG). Building on the previous exhibition launched in Bao'an district in 2023, the CAEG elevated the initiative through strategic rebranding, proposing the establishment of an ongoing art exchange mechanism and platform centered around a competition-driven model. In response, the Bao'an district and the Southern Headquarters jointly developed Infinite into a dynamic cultural brand that unites youth across the Greater Bay Area and beyond. The initiative integrates competitions, exhibitions and the art industry, creating a holistic ecosystem that nurtures young artistic talents while bridging creative expression with real-world cultural industries.
The 2024 Infinite Inspiration GBA Youth Art Exhibition drew participation from over 80 universities and colleges across China, receiving 672 submissions spanning a diverse range of media, including fine arts, installation arts, cultural and creative derivatives and digital art & AIGC (AI-Generated Content).
During the May 2025 Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF), over 100 shortlisted and award-winning works were transformed into an immersive special exhibition. Visitors experienced art beyond the frame, with live performances, collaborative graffiti sessions, and cross-genre interactive experiences breaking down traditional boundaries between creator and audience.
From June to September 2025, Infinite traveled to Hong Kong and Macao for a touring exhibition, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and deepening cultural resonance across the three regions.
The 2025 Infinite Inspiration GBA Youth Art Exhibition marked a bold leap forward with the introduction of a special "New-Quality Imagery" section. This new category encouraged young creators to harness next-generation technologies—artificial intelligence, big data, and extended reality (XR)—as driving forces in reimagining the future of contemporary art.
During the event, 1,172 submissions were received, among which 120 works were shortlisted for final review with 32 works (including series) selected as award winners.
On December 18, 2025, the award-winning works exhibition opened at the "Eyes of the GBA" in Shenzhen, alongside the debut of the "Infinite Creative Market." In a pioneering move, the event brought together over 20 New-Quality Imagery enterprises, forming a closed-loop ecosystem that connects artistic creation, technological R&D, and commercial transformation.
From its origins as a traditional art exhibition to its current fusion of art and technology, from cultural showcase to industry empowerment, Infinite has evolved into an innovative model for building a shared cultural identity across Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. By placing youth creativity at its core, the initiative is helping position the Greater Bay Area as a national, even global hub for the New-Quality Imagery industry.
