To mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh, a spectacular drone light show, comprising a fleet of 2,500 drones, lit up the night sky above the Bangladeshi Parliament on April 14, 2025. Produced by the China Performing Arts Agency (CPAA) under China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG), the event was a central highlight of the China-Bangladesh Cultural Exchange Year.

Against the backdrop of the night sky in Dhaka, the drone light show blended art and technology, coming to life with twelve elaborate formations. Motifs included Bangladesh's national flower, the water lily, and symbols of the two nations: the Chinese dragon and the Bengal tiger, dancing side by side in a luminous tribute to their long-standing partnership.

Organisers described the performance as more than just a visual marvel; it reflected CAEG's ongoing commitment to integrating innovation with culture, using cutting-edge technology to pioneer new forms of international artistic expression. It offered a vivid example of cultural diplomacy, showcasing creativity, connection and soft power on a global platform.
