A legend debuted on October 9, 1986, at Her Majesty's Theatre in London. Starring Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, The Phantom of the Opera premiered to become a theatrical phenomenon, shaping the landscape of modern musical theater. Through Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerizing score, its breathtaking spectacle, and extraordinary performances, this epic romance has enchanted audiences for decades. It has since traveled to 205 cities across 58 countries and regions, captivated over 160 million audience members, and earned more than 70 major theater awards.

The English-language original production of this masterpiece touring China in 2025, presented by SMG LIVE, will faithfully stage the classic version first produced by Cameron Mackintosh and the Really Useful Group in 1986 and enduring to this day.It will be performed at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen and the Guangzhou Opera House.
