The Golden Panda Awards are China's prestigious, international-level honors for film and television. Established in 2023, the Awards are dedicated to fostering cultural dialogue and mutual learning through the art of cinema and television. They serve as a vital platform to showcase the vibrancy of China's screen industries and to build bridges for international collaboration.
The second Golden Panda Awards unfolded successfully in Chengdu, Sichuan province, on September 12 to 13, 2025. Jointly presented by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, this ceremony attracted an impressive 5,343 submissions from 126 countries and regions, with international productions making up 73.2% of the total. Through a rigorous, multi-tiered selection process conducted by industry professionals, 27 awards were ultimately conferred across four major categories: film, TV drama, documentary, and animation. This process and outcome underscore the Awards' growing authority, professional standards, and truly worldwide appeal.
Produced by the China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG), the Golden Panda Awards Ceremony, one of the three core pillars of the Golden Panda Awards, was staged magnificently on the evening of September 13 at the Tianfu International Convention Center. Following its inaugural management of the event in 2023, the CAEG's continued leadership in 2025 marks a consolidation of its expertise in this dynamic field. It represents a powerful step in building a reputable signature event and amplifying its influence and brand within the global entertainment industry.
