Launched in 2023, the "Chinese Performing Arts Hong Kong Season" Series is a cultural brand developed and promoted by China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG) for the SAR. Driven by the core mission to "encourage creative transformation and development of fine traditional Chinese culture", the season is built upon the rich foundation of China's cultural heritage. It leverages top-tier artistic resources from across the nation to support Hong Kong's role as a vibrant hub for international cultural exchange.

Since its inception, the season has curated an illustrious lineup of productions for Hong Kong audiences. Highlights include the National Ballet of China's iconic "The Red Detachment of Women", National Theatre of China's epic drama "Four Generations Under One Roof", and the Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts' mesmerizing dance adaptation of "Dream of the Red Chamber". Beyond stellar performances, the program enriches the local arts scene through masterclasses, workshops, and dedicated exchange activities for young people.

As of 2025, the season has presented 18 distinguished productions, totaling 45 performances and 10 supplementary cultural events. It has captivated hundreds of thousands of attendees, fulfilling the public's thirst for cultural enrichment and significantly deepening artistic dialogue and mutual understanding between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong SAR.
