Scheduled to open in 2027, it will feature an 1,800-seat Dream Theater, a 600-seat multifunctional performance space, rehearsal studios, an arts hall, and supporting facilities. With the vision of becoming a "Future Dream Performing Arts Center," it aims to serve as a world-class venue for performing arts, a hub for international talent and cultural innovation, and a cultural landmark for Shenzhen residents.CAEG Theatres Line, established in 2009 and now part of Bauhinia Culture Group, operates under a full-industry-chain model covering creation, production, management, and performance. The new center will join CAEG's theaters in Guangzhou, Foshan, and Zhuhai, strengthening the group's strategic layout in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. Together, these venues will form a high-quality performing arts cluster, driving cultural integration, resource sharing, and artistic innovation across the region.Through government–enterprise collaboration, the project will enhance operational efficiency, attract world-class productions, and support the incubation of original works with Shenzhen characteristics. CAEG also plans to leverage platforms such as the Silk Road International League of Theatres to foster cultural exchanges with Belt and Road countries, contributing to Shenzhen's vision of becoming an international cultural hub.

As 2025 marks both the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 45th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the agreement represents not only a milestone for CAEG but also a cultural leap forward for the city. The Shenzhen International Performing Arts Center is expected to become a window for citizens to engage with world-class stage arts, enrich public cultural services, and strengthen the city's cultural identity.
