Beijing Ballet brings 'Swan Lake' to Hong Kong

On Jan 13, the Central Ballet Troupe performed the classical three-act ballet "Swan Lake" at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre. It is participating in the "National Style and Charm Floating in Fragrant Hong Kong" series of cultural events for 2024.

The exquisite technique and captivating performance of the dancers received raves from the nearly 2,000-strong audience. Following the Chinese classic ballet "The Red Detachment of Women" performed on Jan 10 and 11, this performance by the Central Ballet Troupe is another signature piece of ballet dedicated to Hong Kong audiences.

The "National Style and Charm Floating in Fragrant Hong Kong" series of cultural events is jointly led by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It is sponsored by China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. (CAEG) and organized by Beijing China Performing Arts Agency Global Art Production Company, a subsidiary of CAEG. The aim is to support Hong Kong in building an excellent cultural exchange base and actively promote the construction of a center for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries.
