The People's Daily Online and the China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd (CAEG) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on April 13. They will jointly help popularize popular cultural and artistic works, and use digital technology to promote the healthy development of the mass art market.

According to the agreement, People's Daily Online will open a special area for Chinese foreign art exhibitions to tell the cultural stories behind Chinese art works. People's Daily Online will exclusively publish the content authorized by CAEG, provide digital services for its authorized art collections, regularly plan and distribute digital collections, and develop cultural creations and derivatives.

Since its establishment in 1950, the China International Art Exhibition, a subsidiary of the CAEG, has accumulated a large number of art collections, including traditional Chinese paintings, among which there are many representative works of modern Chinese painting masters. These art collections will be digitally transformed into product development in cooperation with People's Daily Online "Lingjing·People's Art Museum".

The museum was launched in January this year, aiming to provide a digital platform for artists and outstanding art works, and provide services for digital copyright protection, digital publishing, digital transformation, and digital certification (blockchain).
