Through classic works, the whole performance told of the glorious course and magnificent history of the unremitting struggle of the Chinese nation and the people of the Chinese Communist Party.

The biggest highlight of the event was the Shanghai local choir with four generations of members, "old, middle and young". Among the noteworthy choirs were the Tsinghua University Shanghai Alumni Choir, whose average age is over 75 years and who are popular at home and abroad; they sang the song "Youth", as well as the Shanghai Little Star Choir, and the Shanghai Huangpu District Youth Art Activity Center Spring Youth Choir, the Children's Choir, the Female Choir of the Music Education Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Echo Mixed Chorus of Fudan University.
